Payment of Services and Other Notes

Payment of all services will be deducted at the end of your tenancy from your deposits, as will any breakages or repairs to your apartment caused by you. Any refund due back will be returned to you by post.

Cancelled bookings before 6th September 2024 will lead to a cancellation fee of €100. Any cancellations after this date will lead to a forfeit of the full €200 deposit. In the event of early departure rent will not be refunded.

Rents are due for the period of the tenancy agreement and will not be refunded if you leave early.

Monthly Payment Option requires payment of 2 months up front before 6th September 2024, subsequent payments are due on 15th of each month with the final monthly payment in April 2025.

Televisions are not included in the apartment and you will need to purchase a TV licence if you bring your own.

Hidden Charges:

Gateway has a fair and open pricing policy and there are no hidden charges for parking or routine apartment maintenance and repairs. Deliberate or malicious damage will however be chargeable!

Extra Services:

Services Fee

This non-refundable €500 fee includes waste disposal, WiFi, grounds maintenance and for the full academic year.

Electricity

Students control their own usage and an electricity fee of €500 is charged at the start of the academic year. Prepaid electricity meters are installed in each apartment and each student will be supplied with prepaid meter vouchers from their €500 electricity allowance. It is up to the occupants of the apartment to share meter top-ups between them. If you do not use all your allowance it will be returned to you, along with your security deposit, pending no damages etc, at the end of the academic year.

Parking

Limited Parking is available free of charge to residents only.

Tenancy Agreements and P.R.T.B forms must be returned completed and signed, failure to do so will result in the termination of your tenancy, A copy of your tenancy agreement can be viewed and downloaded online and must terms must be accepted before booking. A copy of the agreement has also been sent to the Students Union at I.T. Sligo.

2 Passport photo I.Ds must accompany your application form, your application to Gateway Apartments may not be processed without them and could result in your apartment been allocated to another applicant. Photos are needed in the event that a Gateway Employee needs to ensure a guests identity for security reasons.

Parking in Gateway is free & for residents only! Due to the limited number of spaces parking is only for staying students. Each student with a car will receive a parking permit at checkin and must notify reception if you change your car. Unauthrosied cars will be clamped & proceeds go to a local charity.

We strongly advise that you purchase an insurance policy that adequately covers your personal belongings in the event of theft loss or damage.
